Robbie Gotts has signed a new deal with Barrow to keep him at the SO Legal Stadium until 2025.

Gotts, 23, joined Barrow on Deadline Day in 2021 from Leeds United, and featured 39 times in his debut campaign for Barrow, netting three times, including a goal in the FA Cup second round replay against Ipswich Town.

This season, he has made 30 appearances for Pete Wild’s side, and is looking forward to the future with The Bluebirds.

Gotts said: “I’m really happy to get the deal done and over the line.

“I feel like the club has helped me develop as a player and I’m looking forward to keep on progressing here at Barrow.

“I’m really excited, as I can see the progress the club is making, even in the short time I’ve been here, and I want to be a part of that.”

The midfielder is also impressed by the ambition shown by Barrow, something that has convinced him to commit his future to The Bluebirds.

He added: “What excites me is how everybody in the building is ambitious and wants the same thing which is to get promotion.

“I definitely feel like it’s possible to achieve our goals, if not this year, then in the next two years I’m here.

“I want to keep learning every day and getting better, the lads we have in the group are a class group and they make every day enjoyable.”

Harrogate-born Gotts made one senior appearance for Leeds and spent time away from Elland Road on loan at Lincoln City (seven games) and Salford City (23, three goals) before linking up with the Bluebirds.
