Penrith manager Darren Edmondson will be aiming to rally his players ahead of the local derby at Carlisle City on Tuesday.
The Northern League clash comes after the Bonny Blues slipped up at home on Saturday, losing to basement rivals Seaham Red Star.
A goal after 10 minutes from Brad Chisholm was enough to settle the contest and keep Penrith among a clutch of clubs struggling to avoid the drop.
But it wasn’t just the defeat, it was the fact that Penrith picked-up injuries ahead of the City game.
Edmondson said: “We are going to have to patch up one or two and see how others are. It’s not perfect but we have to move on.
“We huffed and puffed against Seaham and there wasn’t a lot between the sides after they scored.
“It didn’t help that we were down to 10 men for the last 20 minutes or so after Andy Murray Jones was sent off and ironically we probably created a couple of decent chances.
“The last two games have been disappointing. Only drawing at Northallerton who had ten men and we allowed a last minute equaliser wasn’t good and to get nothing against Seaham was poor.
“But we are looking forward, not back, and we have enough matches to get safe if we apply ourselves.
“Goal-scoring has been a problem all season so we need to start putting away more of our chances in the games that remain.”
