Workington Town welcome back Liam McAvoy into the fold for their game against the Cornwall Choughs this afternoon.
McAvoy, 29, has rejoined Town after a near two year spell with Whitehaven, and had also spent time with Newcastle Thunder after leaving Derwent Park in 2017.
The experienced forward is in a squad of 21 who made the long 460 miles trek yesterday to the far south west where the Cornwall team is based at Penryn.
Goal-kicker Ciaran Walker, who was unavailable last week, is back and so too is Grant Reid who has been nursing an injury for three weeks but JJ Key, another recent casualty is still not tready.
Wigan winger Reagan Sumner, who made his debut last week at North Wales Crusaders, continues his loan spell with the club.
But Hanley Dawson and Matty Henson, who both picked up injuries against the Crusaders, will miss out.
Cornwall made club history last week winning back to back matches son they are in unknown territory coming into the game looking for three straight wins.
Cornwall head coach Mike Abbott has made just one change from last Sunday’s history-making win over Midlands Hurricanes in the Duchy.
Prop forward Harry Boots has been struggling with a knee problem and only managed 29 minutes of the 28-8 triumph over the Hurricanes.
After being forced to sit out of training this week, Boots will not feature in the matchday party although his injury is not thought to be long-term.
Centre Tom Ashton will be pushing for his place back in the starting line-up after he missed the Midlands match with a shoulder problem.
And after missing the victories over London Skolars and last time out against Midlands, Josh Hartshorne returns to the Cornwall squad.
“Tommy is back in contention and we’ll have a look at him after the captain’s run,” Abbott said.
“He has every chance of playing and apart from Harry Boots with his knee, we all came through the Midlands Hurricanes game with just the knocks that are part and parcel of playing the game.
“The lads were sore on Monday but we are in a really good place.”
Former Workington forward David Weetman is included in the Cornish squad.
Workington’s squad is: Jordan Thomson, Connor Terrill, Aaron Burns, Jack Mallinson, Ciaran Walker, Liam McAvoy, Luke Charlton, Ethan Bickerdike, Jordan Burns, Carl Forber, Stevie Scholey, Sean Sabutey, Grant Reid, Jason Mossop, Liam McNicholas, Blain Marwood, Malik Steele, Joe Kirkup, Jack Stephenson, Reagan Sumner, Jake Bradley.
