A Carlisle road will close for seven days so it can be resurfaced.
Work will start on Edgehill Road, between Beverley Rise and Silverdale Road, on Monday, October 23 and will end on Tuesday, October 31.
There will be no work carried out over the weekend of October 28 and 29.
The resurfacing work will be carried out under a daytime road closure from around 8am to 4pm, daily. The road will be accessible outside of those hours if it is considered safe.
A diversion route is along Pennine Way, via Arnside Road, and St Elizabeths Close.
If residents or businesses require access to their property, Cumberland Council, which is co-ordinating the work, requests that it is discussed with the traffic marshal who will be on site during the work.
It added: “Please be aware that there might be some long delays accessing the properties.”
