A bogus roofer has been knocking on doors in north Cumbria asking for work.
Police have issued a warning after a man was reported in the Skinburness area on October 28.
He raised suspicion with his manner and police are now investigating fraud.
The man is described as white, of a slim build, in his mid-20s to early-30s, around 5ft 7in, brown hair and had a North East accent. He was travelling in a white van.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has any further information on this man or if they spoken to him directly.
Officers have reminded people to be vigilant to potential bogus traders. Don’t do business on the doorstep and use a recommended, trusted trader.
