For the fifth consecutive year, the NCCA Showcase game has been scheduled for Cumbria to face Lancashire at Sedbergh School.
The match will be on Sunday July 21 at 11am.
Lancashire have won all three matches played between the two sides, with the fourth in 2020 cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The match again acts as a warm-up for Lancashire’s Metro Bank Cup campaign. Their first match in that competition also being at Sedbergh School against Durham on Wednesday July 24.
In addition Sedbergh School will host the North West’s representative team in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy as Thunder play Southern Vipers on Sunday 14.
The dates of Cumbria CCC’s matches in 2024 have now been agreed following a meeting of all the Counties with the NCCA.
Venues have yet to be confirmed.
Once again the season follows the format of a Twenty20 Competition followed by the One Day Cup ending with a Durant Cricket Championship.
The biggest change is the format of the group stages of the Twenty20 Competition which now comprises five groups of four rather than four groups of five.
Twelve sides will qualify for a Super12 stage with three teams playing each other at four venues with the winners at each venue progressing to Finals Day.
