A person has died following a house fire in Carlisle.
Three fire crews from Brampton, Carlisle West and Carlisle East stations were called to the home on Pennine Way at around 3.20pm yesterday, December 30.
The incident involved a fire in the living room on the ground floor of a domestic property.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is now underway.
