
The hunt is on to find entries to the Grassroots Football Awards in Cumbria.
It’s the opportunity to say thanks to all the people and organisations who give their time to make football happen.
A spokesman for the County FA said: “Our awesome volunteers give so much week-in-week-out, rain or shine and these awards are for the parents, coaches, clubs, leagues, fellow volunteers, match officials and more to pass on appreciation.
“Across our county we want to find these amazing people, share their story nationally and celebrate them and just say a huge thank you.”
There are several categories and people are invited to nominate as many times as they like, in as many categories as they like.

• League of the Year
• Match Official of the Year
• Young Volunteer of the Year
• New Volunteer of the Year
• Grounds Team of the Year
• Keeping Football Positive Award
• Coach of the Year Female Pathway
• Coach of the Year Disability Pathway
• Coach of the Year Male Pathway
• The Lioness Award
• Bobby Moore Award
The County FA is waiting to hear what the nominations do, and how it is impressive. How they make a difference to others’ lives and where they’ve had an impact in their community,
At the end of the day there will be national award winners who will have the chance to go to Wembley and be celebrated there.
