Kendal Town have had to change their scheduled NW Counties Premier Division home game with Chadderton.
It was originally programmed for Saturday, April 6 but has been switched to Thursday, March 21 with an 8pm kick-off.
The match has had to be re-scheduled because of Chadderton’s continued involvement in the Macron Cup.
At the moment both teams are in the play-off positions – Kendal fourth, one place above Chadderton but although they have a two-point lead the Mintcakes have played four more games than their rivals.
Kendal, Chadderton, Padiham and Prestwich Heys look as though they are the four clubs battling for two play-off places.
It looks to be a three-way battle for the title between Bury, Wythenshawe Town and Wythenshawe with the two who miss-out then involved in the play-off semi-finals.
But as Kendal boss Jimmy Marshall said: “There’s still a fair bit of football to come. We have eight games left and we are taking them one at a time.”
The Mintcakes, who have won their last six League games – with three 1-0 victories in a row – are back in action on Friday night at AFC Liverpool who are in a safe mid-table berth (15th).
