Action moved back down onto the Solway moss at Cardunock with a good slip of hounds in all races.

First up were the pups with 22 taking part and as they came into sight on the finish there were two hounds with a slight lead of a couple of yards on the others.

As they approached the line it was Tom Bell and Ryan Bell’s Lassie who just kept in front from Brian and Joy Lister’s Mini Million.

Thornton finished in third place for Darren McMaster, Anthony Skelton and Sadie Wilson.

Next to slip were the senior hounds and again there was a good turnout with 21 of them running.

As they turned the corner and came into view two hounds were clear and were racing well together.

It was Silver Dream, last year’s runner-up in the puppy championship, and Huntsman’s Rally.

Silver Dream showed that she hadn’t lost her excellent finishing speed and just pulled away at the last minute to take the win as she had done so many times last year for Darren and Julie McMaster and Anthony Skelton.

Huntsman’s Rally finished in second place for Denise Bland and Raymond and Glenis Farren.

Last year’s puppy champion Rodney Raider finished ahead of the next group of hounds to take third place for Nicola McMaster and David Todhunter.

Last to slip was the All-In race with 18 runners and when they showed there were three hounds together with the local hound Inspect just getting up to take the win for Kerry and Anna Lindsay with Maverick for Joseph Abram finishing in second place.

Border Reign for Annabelle Connolly, J and A Lawless and N Pattinson was third.
