Promotion rivals Crawley Town and Barrow shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw in West Sussex last night.
It was a welcome point for Barrow to end a run of three successive defeats and both sides stay in the hunt for a play-off place, currently sixth and seventh in the League Two table.
Barrow had hopes of a crucial win when Emile Acquah headed them in front nine minutes before the interval but Crawley earned a deserved point with a penalty by Danilo Orsi after 64 minutes.
There was an early opportunity for Barrow but Dom Telford, a former Crawley striker mis-kicked with the goal at his mercy. The ball then ran to Luca Stephenson but his shot was blocked by home keeper Corey Addai.
At the other end Barrow keeper Paul Farman came to his side’s rescue with a fine one-handed save to deny Ade Adeyemo after he had played in from a clever one-two with Klaidi Lolos.
Acquah was scoring his eighth goal of the season on 36 minutes when he headed in a cross from Elliot Newby.
It could have been 1-1 at the break but a snap shot from Lolos, after being played in by Will Wright was tipped over the bar by Farman.
On 64 minutes Rory Feeley handled in the area and from the penalty spot Orsi sent Farman the wrong way for his 20th goal of the season.
Orsi should have made it 21 before the end but failed to find the target after racing onto a ball from Liam Kelly and then Farman did well again to keep out an effort from home substitute Adam Campbell.
Barrow substitute Sam Foley also had a chance to win it for his side but fired over the bar.
