A leading county businessman is joining forces with Cumbria Deaf Association to help it launch a fundraising project marking its 130th anniversary.
Brendan Donnelly, managing director of Coniston Stonecraft, will be working on the 130-4-130 project, which aims to get 130 people or organisations donating £130 each.
Caroline Howsley, CEO of the Cumbria Deaf Association, said: “We are delighted to have Brendan helping us to achieve our commercial aims, we have so much that we want to do for the county’s deaf and hard of hearing community and we can only do this if we generate enough revenue, I’m sure that Brendan’s focus, connections and enthusiasm will be a massive help to our great work.”
Brendan will also be looking at sponsorship deals for deaf awareness courses, and a host of collaborative opportunities designed to help all parties benefit, while raising awareness of deaf issues.
He added: “I’m currently keen to hear from motor dealerships who want to make car buying more accessible to the deaf and disabled community to launch an easier way to buy for all.”
Brendan can be contacted via Cumbria Deaf Association or on 07951236040.
