Cleator Moor Celtic twice had to come from behind to earn a good point at home to Lostock St Gerard’s in the West Lancashire League.
The Preston visitors had won five of their previous eight matches to warrant a place in the top three and they were gifted an early lead.
Abdullah Zaffer profited from a loose back pass after just six minutes to give his side the early boost.
Celtic began to dominate the ball and they deservedly drew level on 35 minutes when Leon Dymtrowski headed home a Luke Close free-kick.
IIt stayed all square until the 82nd minute when the visitors were awarded a penalty which was put away by Mason Macay.
It would have been harsh if Celtic has got nothing from the game and three minutes later they scored a well-taken, and deserved equaliser from substitute Harley Cueto.
With a little unbeaten run of two games behind them Celtic travel to Blackpool Wren Rovers on Saturday. They are ninth in the table, seven points better than the west Cumbrians.
