Dan Abram will always be remembered by Whitehaven fans for his last gasp kicking exploits to see off Workington Town in a tight derby clash.
He’s well remembered for his heroics off the touchline so his return to the Whitehaven ranks has been well received by the supporters.
Abram, 29, was at Haven in 2018 when he nailed a touchline conversion – following a Chris Taylor try – after the hooter to seal his side’s 14-12 victory in the Cumbrian derby against Leon Pryce’s Workington.
He had previously played for Barrow and after leaving Haven has represented Rochdale, Oldham and Swinton.
He returns to the Whitehaven squad for the trip to Featherstone on Sunday to take on Goole Vikings while Joe Hartley, who made his Haven debut last week against Swinton, is in line for his second appearance.
Aaron Turnbull, an absentee for a number of weeks, is also included in the 21 named by coach Anthony Murray.
The squad is: Dan Abram, Ethan Bickerdike, Josh Blinkhorn, Brad Brennan, Clarke Chambers, Luke Collins, Joe Hartley, Ellison Holgate, Connor Holliday, Jack Kellett, Mason Lewthwaite, Rio McQuistan, Jack Newbegin, Ellis Nixon, Jake Pearce, Chris Taylor, Jordan Thomson, Daniel Spencer-Tonks, Mitchell Todd, Aaron Turnbull, Jay Weatherill.
