
A man has denied an attempted murder charge following an incident in Millom last month.
Police responded after it was reported that a man had suffered serious injuries inside an address at Crown Street, in the south Cumbria town on Wednesday June 18.

Harry Beighton, 27, of Wellington Street, Millom, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court this morning.
During a nine-minute hearing in front of Judge Nicholas Barker, Beighton pleaded not guilty to two charges.
One alleges that he attempted to murder a man on June 18.
A second charge alleges the assault of an emergency worker, namely a police detective superintendent, on June 19.
Beighton appeared in court remotely, via a video link, from HMP Durham. He also spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
A provisional date for a trial in front of a jury was set at the crown court on June 8 next year.
Beighton is next due to appear at the crown court on September 12 when case progress will be reviewed.
He was reminded that he must co-operate with his legal team to prepare a statement which outlines his defence to the allegations.
Until the next court hearing Beighton remains remanded in custody.
