F1 fans can race to a Lake District town’s Spar this weekend as Charles Leclerc’s Scuderia Ferrari car will be on display.

Part of Spar Bowness’ Summer of Fun, marking the store’s first year since opening, the car in Ferrari red will be on display on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, from 8am to 4pm.

People will be able to have a close-up look at the high-performance vehicle and have their photos taken with the racing machine that Leclerc drove during the 2021 F1 season.

The car is in the Scuderia Ferrari 2025 livery and is on display at the Rayrigg Road store courtesy of Spar’s relationship with Shell.

Fiona Drummond, company stores director at James Hall & Co Ltd, owner of Spar Bowness, said: “This is going to be one special weekend. We have been trying to secure Ferrari’s highly sought after F1 show car to display at one of our Shell forecourts for years and I am thrilled we are able to do this.

“We really hope that having the Ferrari on our forecourt will rev up some significant enthusiasm within F1 aficionados who come down and visit the store over the weekend.”
