Windscale start home programme this week

Windscale start their home programme in the Wearside League tonight against Easington Lane.

Like the Cumbrians, the visitors started with an away defeat at the weekend.

After the Atoms lost 3-1 at Willington on Friday, the Lane went to Farringdon Detached the following day and went down 4-2.

There have been a number of changes to the Windscale squad this season and more debutants are likely to be seen tonight.

The one experienced recruit Travis Fyfe laid on the goal at Willington for Lewis Selkirk.

Manager Stephen Fawcett said: “We had 22 to pick from for tonight and that doesn’t happen very often.

“We lost Will Rock to a quad injury at Willington but we have Levi McAdam back in goal for his full Wearside debut.

“Callum Bell (Reds Under-23s) and Ben Clements are both in the squad and could also make their league debuts.”

Windscale have no game this weekend.
