Seaton continued their pursuit of Maryport at the head of affairs in the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL.

The Premier Division leaders Maryport were denied a game when Cockermouth cried off through lack of numbers.

They will get the points but nearest pursuers Seaton were 34-18 winners over Lowca to stay in their slipstream.

Jon-Carl Bryan (2), Liam Williamson, Ciaran Walker, Jaiden Tallantire and Lewis Mason scored the Seaton tries.

Walker back with his amateur club on dual registration from Workington Town kicked five goals.

Lowca replied with tries by Emerson Allen, Xenden Callendar and Sonny O’Connor, all converted by Billy Penrice.

Reigning champions Wath Brow A stayed in the mix with a 30-16 win at improving Flimby.

The Hornets tries were scored by Daley Stables (2),  Evan Alick, Fletcher Anderson and Jason Connery.

Layton Dockwray kicked five goals.

Rhys Booty, Dan Weir and Carl Grima touched down for the home side with Weir converting two of them.

The other weekend game was a Division One clash in which Hensingham A beat Aspatria 30-4.

There were tries for the home side from Liam Quaile (2), Henley Donnan, Dylan Cromwell, Bobby Dickinson and Cohen Massey.

Dylan Bragg kicked three goals. The Aspatria try was scored by Brad Thomson.
