There are just two games left to complete the Cumberland ARL season.
Both feature Maryport and Seaton, who met two weeks ago in a game to decide the Premier Division championship.
Maryport won that and tomorrow make the short trip across town to Glasson Rangers where they will face Seaton again in the final of the Cumberland Cup.
The third big game featuring the pair is on October 17 when they square up at Workington’s Fibrus Community Stadium in the grand final – the top four showdown.
Although it was tight two weeks ago 22-12 at Maryport, Seaton weren’t at their best on that occasion and coach Neil Frazer is looking for a big improvement.
“Maryport thoroughly deserved the win and we need to be better in possession to ask them questions,” he said.
Ciaran Walker, who has just joined Whitehaven after previously leaving Seaton to join Workington Town, is back in a Rangers shirt after a suspension and is expected to be a key player.
Maryport coach Mark Foster is having to delay his team selection but for good reasons.
Players who came in last week to help the side beat Lowca in the Top Four semi-final performed really well standing in for absentees.
There are a couple nursing knocks and will have to prove their fitness ahead of the game.
He said: “I’m sure it’s going to be another tight game and I just hope the forecasted weather doesn’t spoil it.
“I’m hoping, too, that there’s a big crowd to support not only both teams but the hosts Glasson Rangers who have had three recent burglaries and need a bit of financial help through use of the club bar.”
