A road will close for five days in a north Cumbrian village for improvements.
Cumberland Council said work will start in Wetheral, near Carlisle, from Monday, October 20.
The work is taking place from The Grange towards Wetheral Railway Station and is expected to last for five days, subject to weather and site conditions.
A full road closure will be in place during working hours, from 8am to 4pm.
Access for residents will be restricted during these times. Traffic marshals will be on site to help people reach their properties wherever possible.
Refuse collections will continue where it is safe to do so, the council said, and access will be maintained at all times for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and emergency service vehicles.
