
Cleator Moor Celtic beat local rivals Whitehaven 3-1 to make progress in the Richardson Cup.
They had dominated the first half and led 2-0 at the break.
Dan Hill had gone through one-on-one after 17 minutes to open the scoring and skipper Callum Jackman doubled the lead on the half hour.
When Rhys Singleton made it 3-0 ten minutes into the second half it looked all over.
But Whitehaven then came more into the game and Carl Denvir pulled one back on 72 minutes.
Both sides had opportunities but there were no further goals and Celtic went through to the third round.

They were joined by Millom who returned y to winning ways with a 2-0 success at Appleby Bridge.
Ben McDonald, their leading scorer was responsible for both goals in the 32nd and 66th minutes.

Mil;nthorpe Corinthians were involved in West Lancashire Premier Division action but were beaten at home 4-0 by Lostock St Gerard’s.
It was virtually all over at half-time with the visitors leading 3-0 and they added a fourth 10 minutes from time.
It leaves Milnthorpe bottom with just a single point while Lostock are up to third top.
