Cranstons has donated £2,000 to the Great North Air Ambulance Service to help to keep the vital service flying.
The team at Cranstons’ Cumbrian Food Hall in Penrith welcomed the service’s representative Natasha Banks to receive the donation and meet with food hall manager Hazel Feddon.
Hazel said: “We’re absolutely delighted to support the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
“Their work is nothing short of incredible, and we’re so proud to contribute to a charity that does so much for people across Cumbria and beyond. Living in a rural county, we all know someone who’s benefited from their service – it’s reassuring to know that this amazing team is always ready to help when it matters most.”
The service is one of four local charities Cranstons supports through its Community Fund, alongside Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, Carlisle Youth Zone, and Tynedale Hospice at Home.
Each year, Cranstons’ Community Fund distributes donations to these organisations in recognition of their vital work within our local communities.
Natasha, CSR & philanthropy specialist at the service, said: “We’re thrilled to have the continued support from Cranstons and receive a generous donation from their community fund.
“As a charity we need to raise £9.3m a year to remain operational, so this money will help our critical care team continue to provide life-saving care across the region.”
