Jon Karl Benson has stood down as manager of West Lancashire League side Whitehaven.
The West Cumbrians have struggled so far this season, largely because of the inability to field a full strength side.
Benson has recently obtained new employment and is unable to commit to matches and training on a regular basis.
Highlight of the season was a 5-1 win over main rivals Cleator Moor Celtic in an early league game but on Saturday they lost 3-1 at Celtic in a Cup fixture.
