Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene will open its first Carlisle store in time for Christmas.

The brand will open its doors on English Street – but is not giving away the exact opening date just yet.

The new space will offer a selection of homeware, décor, stationery, gifts and seasonal finds.

It is the firm’s first location in Cumbria.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, comments: “We are thrilled to open our first store in Carlisle and bring Søstrene Grene’s wonderful world to the community.”

It has over 350 stores across 17 countries and is continuing its UK expansion, with 100 new openings planned by 2027.

Country manager for the North of England, Jonathan Cooper, said: “The response to Søstrene Grene in the North of England has been incredible and we’re excited to bring that same energy to Carlisle.

“This first store in Cumbria is an important step in expanding our presence across the region and giving local shoppers the chance to experience the brand in a way that feels distinctly Scandinavian.”

The official launch date of Søstrene Grene, Carlisle, will be announced very soon, the firm said.
