Whitehaven have continued their squad building by re-signing hooker Josh Blinkhorn.
His new two-year deal will keep the former England Community Lion stay with the club until the end of the 2027 season.
Signing from Millom ahead of last season 19-year-old Blinkhorn made a try scoring debut in the Challenge Cup victory over Swinton in January.
Overall, the youngster made nine appearances with all but one coming from the bench, scoring two tries as well as heading back to his community club Millom on dual registration at times throughout the campaign.
Haven head coach Anthony Murray said: “We’re delighted to have Josh Blinkhorn re-sign for the club.
” He got his first taste of professional rugby last season and, in every opportunity he had, he never looked out of place.
“Josh handled the physicality of the professional game with real confidence and showed maturity well beyond his years.
“He scored some important tries for us and proved he’s more than capable of competing at this level.
“He is definitely one for the future and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and develop in our colours.”
