A Lake District post office will move to new premises next year.
The current postmaster in Bowness-on-Windermere has resigned and as a result, its location at St Martins Parade will be withdrawn as a post office.
However, a new operator has been appointed and the post office will reopen at the Spar on Rayrigg Road.
The Post Office said dates were being finalised for the move, which will not take place until next year.
There will be one serving point at the retail counter and the same range of Post Office services would be available apart from passport services.
