
Alan Bromley took first and second in the Workington Victoria show last night – his second win of the winter series.
The Flimby fancier had won the opening show for old cocks, and he followed up with the latest one for young cocks.
Andrew Kenmare judged 48 entries and he gave tickets as follows: 1,2, A. Bromley and co; 3, Varty, son and grandson; 4, 7, Mr and Mrs W. Carter and sons; 5, 8, Dolan and daughter; 6, M. and L. Cape.
Next week’s show is for young hens with judging in the Union Jack Club at 7.30pm.

In Flimby’s show for young cocks on Wednesday night, Alan had to settle for second and sixth place in a class of 75 judged by Dave McTear and Bill Jefferson. Alan did not show these two at Workington.
There were 75 entries and they gave tickets as follows: 1, Hodgson and Saldert; 2, 6, Bromley and co; 3, Nelson and Crellin; 4, Varty, son and grandson; 5, L. Norris; 7, D. Hine; 8, M. and L. Cape.
