A woman challenged a male intruder who had broken into her house in the early hours.
The man entered the property on Undergreens Road in Barrow at around 6.10am today via a conservatory at the rear of the address.
The householder was quick to challenge the man. Following a brief verbal exchange, he calmly left through the conservatory.

Enquiries have begun in the local area, police said. Officers are appealing to residents and people who were in the area between 5.30am and 6.30am, who could have seen the man or any suspicious activity to make contact.
