Ben Scott (Sun Inn B)

Aspatria Pool League’s form team Sun Inn B continue to push for the title, currently lying second in the table.

They continued their winning run when they travelled to Silloth to take on Cumberland B, and Ben Scott won the first frame with an excellent eight ball clean up.

The visitors continued to dominate, leading 4-2 after the singles, and then won all the doubles, to complete a 7-2 win.

League leaders Sun Inn A played away at Wigton Park BC and were given a fright before collecting the points.

Caden Corrigan was the player of the night for Wigton Park as he produced some great pool, winning both games.

Luke Kershaw had a nice eight ball finish in his individual clash which meant the match was poised at 3-3 after the singles.

Lewis Fisher and Tommi Allen (Sun Inn FC).

Wigton Park took a 4-3 lead before Sun Inn A levelled, and in the last frame a missed black by Kyle Thomson for Wigton Park meant Sun Inn A took the points to stay clear at the top of the league.

Throstle A remain tied in second place after a comfortable 7-2 win away at Greyhound Inn, Bothel, as the home side continue to look for that first win this season and remain bottom of the league.

Miners A played away at Letters B and the match was evenly poised at 3-3 after the singles, but with their second wins of the night by Karl Charters and Barry Cook (Karl with a superb eight ball clearance) Miners took the points with a 5-4 win.

Liam Millican won both games for Letters B, continuing his good form of late.

Sun Inn FC played out a great match against Cumberland A, and it was another match in which the sides were tied at 3-3 after the singles.

Wins from Lewis Fisher, Tommi Allen and David Wilson for Sun Inn FC, were matched for Cumberland A by Willie Graham, Geoff Davies and Shaun Hill.

The Sun then went on to win the match 5-4, as Fisher and Allen produced some excellent pool on the night for Sun Inn F.C.

Throstle B had a great battle against local Wigton team the Rugby Club before eventually squeezing home 5-4.

Letters B

The Rugby Club had stormed into a well-deserved 4-1 lead, but after winning the last singles to pull it back to 4-2, the Throstle team then won all three doubles to snatch the match 5-4.

Declan Harrison and Dan Foy did their bit, winning both their games.

Miners B entertained Letters A, and struggled in the singles, trailing 4-1, but after winning the last single, it sparked another great comeback on the night.

The Miners won all three doubles to take the match 5-4.
