Loads of youngsters around the country have seen what the 19-year-old from Warrington has achieved and it has inspired them to take up the game.
In Cumbria there are young players popping up in the various leagues for experience, and in the Maryport Sunday Night League there’s almost a team of them.
Four play for Glasson Rangers and on Sunday night they went to Silloth Bowling Club and won their sixth match on the spin to move second in the table.
Despite finishing the singles 4-2 down, they stormed back to win all three doubles and the first treble to clinch the match.
With Jamie Redman, Trev Frith, Jimmy Pattinson and James Critchlow winning for Silloth, captain Scott Heaney hit a 180 and Olly Lowes won singles for Glasson.
They won all 3 doubles and first treble to make it six wins in a row for the young side.
One of the youngsters, 13-year-old Olly Lowes won his single along with the experienced captain Heaney who threw a 180.
Redman, Frith, Pattinson and Critchlow won for Silloth and one treble meant the Glasson visitors went home with a 6-5 victory.
Current league champions Miners Arms were back in action as they travelled to take on Maryport Bowling club A team and came away with a resounding 10-1 victory.
Darren Bowe’s 180 was the highlight of the match and there were wins also for Mike Weaver, Jason Bowe, Mark Pearson and Mark Sloan as they maintained their push to retain the title.
Sun Dial A slipped to third place after a 6-5 defeat at home to Sun Inn A who took an early lead through Ryan Fisher and it soon became 2-0 after Zane Alderson got off with 152 to defeat Paul Foster.
Willy Edgar pulled one back, beating Matty McCartney, before Ben Allan and 15-year-old Jayden Faulder made it 4-1.

Sun Dial captain Adam Palmer made it 4-2 by beating Mikey Allan, giving hope to the home side who then took the first double through Derek Boardman and Foster.
But the Aspatria side took the final two doubles to win the match through McCartney and B. Allan and Faulder and M Allan. Sun Dial took the remaining trebles and the game finished 6-5.
Elbra Club faced Sun Dial B and took a 3-0 lead through Jake Jones, Harvey Middleton and Owen Rowley before Paul Davies, Ged Bates and Ralph Palmer tied the game at 3-3.
Sun Dial B then won all three doubles to take the victory through John Dobie and John Collister; Martin Bell and Davies and then Bates and Palmer.
The trebles played out with both sides taking one each for a final scoreof 7-4 to Sun Dial B.
The last match of the night saw the Bowling Club Babes travelling to Aspatria to take on the Sun Inn Arrows in a double header.
The first game ended in a 10-1 victory for the Aspatria side as Kenneth Bowes, Jobby Dunn, Jordan Thompson, Gary Miller and skipper Matt Glencross and son Jamie Glencross, took all the singles and doubles.
The Babes’ treble win came from Irene Pattinson, Karen Jones and Dot Armstrong.
In the second game it was a clean sweep for the Arrows as Bowes, Miller, Thompson, Matt Glencross and Jamie Glencross again won singles and Jobby’s Mam Annie Dunn stood in for her first game of the season to help out and impressively went on to win four out of the five points she played for on her Arrows debut.
