Darren Rowley and Simon Forrest pulled one back in the first double before Luke McKnight and Pattinson secured the points, while Scott and Beales made it 5-2 to the Rugby Club B.

Sun Inn Ballers again travelled to The Butcher’s Arms this time to take on the A team.

Ryan Ismay and Liam Holm made it 3-2 and then Stephen Ismay and Andrew Egan tied the match at 3-3.

In a tense last frame Kershaw and Wilson held their nerve to get the victory and maintain the Sharks 100% start.

Maryport Rugby Club A

Grasslot Welfare came from 3-1 down at home to win 4-3 in a thrilling match against Butchers B that was played in great spirit.

Simon Marr, Lee Hodgson and Ian Pattinson got the points for the Butchers, Keith Anderson kept the game alive for Welfare and in the doubles Trevor Bethwaite and Anderson, Lee Ismay and Richard Shearman tied the match. The climax saw Anderson and Bethwaite take the deciding frame to make it 4-3 to Grasslot.

Maryport Rugby League Club A produced the performance of the week as they made the short trip to take on the Bowling Club.

The Bowlers took a 2-0 lead through Paul Kirkbride and Dave Edwards before the Rugby Club levelled via Dale Dickinson and Ian Ivison.

Craig Thompson and Brian Pattinson took the first double then Bowness and Doc Holliday secured the victory for the Rugby Club A.

Edwards and Kirkbride took the final frame as consolation for the Bowlers, as they went under 4-3.

Swan Inn took on Elbra A and Mark Mattocks,  Stephen Pattinson and Dirk Mortimer put them 3-0 up before John McCracken gave Elbra hope.

It was short-lived, however, as Swan took the first 2 doubles and put the game beyond doubt through Cameron Quayle and Carl Daley and Mattocks and Mortimer.

There was a late consolation for Elbra when Tony Lambert and McCracken won the last frame for Elbra A who lost 5-2.

In another game, but with no individual details, Sun Inn Dearham beat Elbra B 4-3.
