An online competition run by Dame Kelly Holmes saw a Cumbrian parkrun scoop second place.
The Olympic athlete promotes the free weekly running and walking events and asked parkruns from across the country to send in photos of Winter Olympics poses for her social media pages.
Milly Wilson, who was volunteering at Millom parkrun, suggested taking part and submitted two photos – a luge and a bobsleigh using some of the course’s chicane barriers.
The luge photo made it into the top 10 photos and a public vote took place – with Millom taking second place, pipped to the post by a Torvill and Dean shot.
Millom parkrun has won a signed Dame Kelly Holmes parkrun T-shirt.
Milly said: “One of our team will be modelling it next week at Millom parkrun when we welcome Gary McKee and his team as he is running our parkrun as part of his 100toLDN challenge – completing 100 marathons in 100 days, culminating in participating in the London Marathon with his son Beau – raising funds for Hospice at Home West Cumbria.”
Millom parkrun takes place at 9am every Saturday at the Millom Hun on Salthouse Road.
