Workington Town Ladies should have started the new season on Saturday at the Fibrus Community Stadium against Bronte Barbarians.
However, the Castleford side can’t get enough players to contest the Women’s Challenge Shield tie so Town will go through to the next round.
It means they will be at home the following weekend to the winners of the tie between Keighley Cougars and Crosfields.
The Ladies have strengthened their squad for the new campaign with a string of new signings and are looking forward to a successful campaign.
