A public defibrillator has been installed at a West Cumbrian centre.
The life-saving kit has been installed at the Time to Change centre on Haig Enterprise Park in Kells, Whitehaven.
The building is home to several local organisations including Together We, Calderwood House, Citizen’s Advice Copeland, Knit and Natter, Silent Footprints and more.
Together We said: “This addition benefits every group, visitor, and member of the community who walks through or by our doors.
“This is a fantastic step forward in making our space safer and more accessible for everyone who uses it.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to Bill Morley for your incredible support in helping us achieve this and for arranging the installation. His help has made a real and lasting difference.”
The defibrillator is one of 50 that has been installed by the Morley family in memory of their son Billy, who died at a venue in Liverpool in June 2024 that did not have one installed.
The family worked with the North West Ambulance Service to identify hotspots where the equipment was needed the most.
