Whitehaven will be aiming to put a spoke in Swinton’s recent revival under old boss Anthony Murray.
A win and draw in their recent games have got the Lions moving after Murray took on the role of head coach.
He had left Whitehaven after they scored their first win of the season at home to Rochdale; soon after got back into the game as an assistant at Swinton and then stepped up into the head coaching role.
The only thought in the mind of his successor at the Recreation Ground James Newton is picking up the points on Sunday.
He has named four loanees in the squad with Cole Marsh and Luca Walsh, from St Helens set for debuts alongside fellow Saint Alfie Sinclair who played last week at Dewsbury.
The fourth loanee Alfie Briggs from Wakefield Trinity also made his debut last week.
Swinton have announced the departure of former Whitehaven half-back Brad Billsborough but include Pat Ah Van recently signed from North Wales Crusaders.
