Carlisle-based referee Anthony Backhouse has been appointed as fourth official for the Sky Bet EFL League One Play-Off final.
The 35-year-old will be officiating on Sunday when Bolton Wanderers take on Stockport County at Wembley Stadium (1pm ko).
Scott Taylor, Cumberland FA referee development officer, said: “It’s always great to see Cumberland FA referees doing well, getting promotions, and being appointed to big games.
“Having trained Anth and known him since he was a boy I am, of course, immensely proud of his refereeing achievements and this Wembley appointment is in recognition of his ability and a reward for the season he has had with the PGMO.”
