
The latest round of matches in the Maryport Pool League proved to be good ones for the Sun Inn teams.
The Sharks travelled to face Maryport Rugby League Club B and came away with a 7-0 victory to remain top of the table.
Ryan Irving, Jobby Dunn, Steven Wheatcroft, Luke Kershaw and Mel Scott were all in top form.
Sun Inn Ballers continued their good run with their fourth win in a row beating Butchers B as they look to break into the top half of the table.
Ben Scott, Greg Todd, Willy Armstrong and Johnny Gray got the job done in the singles as they ran out 5-2 winners.
The biggest shock was Sun Inn Cannons victory at home against Maryport Bowling Club after John Thompson had put them 1-0 up.
Jason Miller made it 1-1 but Shaun Allan put the Cannons back in front with an 8 ball, before Mikey Allan took the fourth single and a 3-1 lead.
Thompson and Zane Alderson then clinched the victory to make it 4-1 before Bowling Club took the last two consolation doubles as the game finished 4-3.
The fourth Sun Inn team, this one from Dearham and not Aspatria, also collected another win as they beat Glasson Rangers 4-3 with wins from Taylor Manchester, Adam Short and Blake Miller, followed by the first double from Miller and Callum Casson.
Elbra B won again to keep up the pursuit of the Sharks as they beat Elbra A 5-2. Rogers Rivers, Graham Mattinson and Gregg Walling won their singles and only Andy Henderson replied for the A team.
Grant Porter and Ian Frizzle then secured the win in the first double. Walling and Mattinson then made it 5-1 before the A team took a consolation double to make it 5-2.

Grasslot Welfare made light work of Elbra C with Richard Shearman, Keith Anderson, Ricky Beecroct and Trevor Bethwaite helping secure the win before starting the doubles and it finished 6-1.
Butchers A had an impressive 6-1 victory against the Swan. Lee Volkaerts, Kevin Gartland and Colin Stables with singles wins with only Matty Little getting a point for the Swans.
Maryport Social Club faced near neighbours Maryport Rugby club A. Ryan Ismay made it 1-0 before Dale Dickinson levelled the match.
Andrew Egan and Zak Bird then made it 3-1 to the Social club who then took all the doubles to win 6-1.
