New leaders in the West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

There are new leaders in the West Cumbria Mixed Triples League.

Harris Park A won 9-0 at Seaton to take over at the top by a point from Cleator Moor.

The second-placed team won 7-2 at previous leaders Wigton who drop to fifth.

Other results from May 26: Whitehaven B 5, Vulcan Park A 4; Cleator Moor 7, Wigton 2; Maryport 4, Whitehaven A 5; Workington A 5, Croft 4; Harris Park B 4, Seascale 5; Vulcan Park B 0, Workington B 9.

League standings as of May 31 (Games played and points): Harris Park A 5-29, Cleator Moor 5-28, Workington B 4-24, Whitehaven A 4-23, Wigton 4-23, Whitehaven B 5-23, Workington A 4-21.5, Seascale 5-21.5, Egremont 4-20, Maryport 4-19, Vulcan Park A 5-19, Croft 5-17, Harris Park B 4-14, Seaton 3-10, Vulcan Park B 5-5.

In the West Cumbria Fours League the big match last week was at Workington between last year’s champions, Workington A, and league leaders Whitehaven A.

The result was a 5-2 win for the Whitehaven team, meaning their lead at the top of the table was extended to five points, although the Workington team does have a game in hand.

League standings as at 31 May (Games played and points): Whitehaven A 6-36, Fitz Park 5-31, Cleator Moor 6-31, Workington A 5-30, Workington B 6-17, Maryport 6-15, Seaton 5-14, Harris Park 6-9, Whitehaven B 5-6, Vulcan Park 6-6.
