Barrow Raiders are the first Cumbrian team in action this weekend as they host Sheffield Eagles (ko 6pm).

The Raiders will be without leading try scorer Tee Ritson after he picked up a ruptured Achilles in last week’s 56-12 win at Workington.

Ritson will be out for the rest of the season but will be there to support his team-mates tonight.

You can hear his thoughts about the injury below:

Raiders extended their winning streak to three games following last weekend’s emphatic victory at Workington, a result which moved them up to third in the table.

Tonight’s opponents have three wins from their last five outings but they beat the Raiders 22-6 in February.

Wigan Warriors hooker Tom Forber, 23, arrives on loan and will go into contention to start  while Jarrad Stack also returns to the line-up, replacing youngster Fin Dutton-Rosconie.

Forber has previously been on loan with the Raiders when he played seven games in 2024, scoring a try.

He’d previously had a two-game spell on loan with Whitehaven and has also spent time on loan at Castleford, Oldham, Widnes, Wakefield and Newcastle.

Sheffield coach Craig Lingard includes new signing Greg Edenfor the first time in the squad, and he could make his debut tonight.

Corey Johnson and Jack Bussey also come back into contention as they make their return from injury.

Harry Bowes misses out as he begins a two-match suspension.

  • Eagles:  Brown, Hodson, Gill, Walkley, Morgan, Johnson, Reilly, Bower, Bussey, Butterworth, Griffin, Broadbent, Ellis, Oakes, Peachey, Miller, Matongo, Foster, Green, Abdull, Eden.
