Workington reserve Max Perry has picked up a guest booking for Redcar Bears tonight.

They host Oxford in the Cab Direct Championship with Perry having faced the Cheetahs last Saturday for the Comets.

Perry comes in at reserve for Jody Scott but are otherwise at full strength, which means three ex-Workington riders in the line-up.

In-form Nicolai Klindt, Ace Pijper and Simon Lambert are at the top of the Bears’ riding order.

Klindt scored nine last night rising for Northampton Foxes in a 42-48 home defeat by Sheffield Tigers.

He was alongside Workington skipper Troy Batchelor who had a real mixed night in his three rides – a last, then two wins and finally a retirement for six points.

Jye Etheridge, a Comet last year, scored four points for Sheffield at reserve.

Northampton had been leading 40-38 with two races left but two heat maximums tuned the meeting in Sheffield’s favour.
