Lloyd Motor Group has announced its support for the Cumbria County Tennis Championships 2019 after confirming it will be sponsoring the community event, taking place from Sunday 25th August to Sunday 1st September.
The tournament, held at Chatsworth Tennis Club on St. Aidans Road, Carlisle, will host 33 separate events from under 8 boys and girls singles to mens and womens over 40 doubles as well as the wheelchair doubles. The event has been a core event in the local tennis calendar for the county since it began in 1977.

This year hopes to see the return of Billy Blaydes, Windermere, who won an impressive nine titles in the 2018 event and Megan Almond, Maryport, who won four titles in 2018 and six titles back in 2017.
Alistair Higham, who works for the LTA and won the boys under 16 singles in 1981, will be presenting the trophies on Finals Day, Sunday 1st September from 1pm. To finish off the day, Chatsworth Tennis club will be hosting a BBQ. Tickets for this are available from [email protected].
