Barrow boss Mark Cooper is looking for his side to eradicate the “soft goals” they have conceded lately when they host Rochdale tomorrow.
The Bluebirds have been playing well enough to win several games, only to concede when they shouldn’t have.
Cooper said: “We played really well at Walsall for long spells but conceded soft goals. It’s been killing us lately. A run of only one defeat in six or seven games would have looked a lot better.
“But we are not going overboard because you can go on about things too much. We work on things defensively and then move on.
“One thing we can’t level against our group is their commitment. They really do keep going to the end, never giving up, as we saw at Walsall last week.”
Barrow host a Rochdale side who are capable of playing some good football and Cooper has a lot of respect for the opposition tomorrow.
“They like to get the ball down and pass it about and they are good at over-loading certain areas and getting the ball in there. It will be a tough game I’m sure, and we are looking forward to it,” said Cooper.
Forward Offrande Zanzala should come back into contention for Barrow after missing last Saturday’s game at Walsall through illness.
Fellow striker Luke James made his comeback from a foot injury as a substitute against The Saddlers, while Connor Brown also returned to the squad following groin trouble.
Jamie Devitt and Matt Platt are making good progress in their fight to return to contention after injury, while Tom Beadling and Mike Jones are also back in training.
Dimitri Sea is back in the treatment room with a recurrence of his hamstring injury, while Kgosi Ntlhe remains sidelined with a knee problem.
Rochdale boss Robbie Stockdale will run the rule over Josh Andrews, Stephen Dooley and Matty Done who have been missing from action through injury in recent weeks.
