Stats can often tell just half the story and Barrow manager Pete Wild will take extra time in reviewing those from the 0-0 home draw with Harrogate.
His side dominated possession 57-43% and managed 18 shots at the Harrogate goal.
Crucially, though, only one was on target and that was a first-half penalty which was saved by Harrogate keeper Kames Belshaw.
Liam Campbell, the Barrow midfielder being tracked by one or two rival clubs, had scored from the spot in mid-week to earn the Bluebirds a point at Walsall.
But Belshaw had done his homework and he got down to save Campbell’s spot kick which in the end was enough to earn a fourth successive away draw for the visitors.
They have closed ranks well since the humiliation of a 9-2 defeat at leaders Mansfield Town and have steadied the ship.
The penalty was given after Harrogate captain Warren Burrell fouled Robbie Gotts in the 26th minute.
Although they were the dominant side throughout Barrow couldn’t produce enough ammunition to test Belshaw as all their other efforts at goal were off target.
The best save of the game had come from Barrow’s Paul Farman as early as the second minute when he denied Matty Daly.
Burrell had another opportunity, again early in the game, but he blazed high, wide and not very handsome.
From that point Barrow took charge but frustrated the fans with their inability to make Belshaw work harder for his money.
