Carlisle United opened their account in League Two with a narrow 1-0 derby success against Barrow.
The winner came on 35 minutes from Dan Adu-Adjei who is on loan from Bournemouth and could feel pleased about the way he took his chance.
The teenager held-off defender Theo Vassell before curling a low right foot shot beyond the Barrow keeper Paul Farman.

The worrying feature of the game for Barrow boss Stephen Clemence was that his side did not have a shot on target.
Elliot Newby headed over in the first half and Kian Spence fired wide in the second but in sharp contrast to his opening day at Gillingham the United goalkeeper Harry Lewis did not have a shot to save.
His opposite number Farman wasn’t that much busier but at least Carlisle did create clearer opportunities but Aaron Hayden, Josh Vela and Ben Williams couldn’t take advantage.
Barrow substitute Andy Dallas did find the net in time added on but the goal was correctly ruled out for offside.
