Carlisle United have signed a second Bournemouth player in midfielder Dominic Sadi who will join Dan Adu-Adjei on loan until the end of the season.

Adu-Adjei was the match winner in last Saturday’s Cumbrian derby against Barrow and is good pals with Sadi.

The 20-year-old Sadi started his career in the West Ham academy and earned a scholarship with the Hammers.

After being released, he joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Wingate & Finchley which helped him gain experience in senior men’s football.

His form earned him a trial with the Cherries, and he impressed sufficiently to be handed a contract to join the development team at the Vitality Stadium.

He made his Premier League debut for the club in a 3-0 victory over Brighton last season and has made a further three first team appearances in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

United manager Paul Simpson told the club’s website said: “I’m really pleased to have Dom here. I think he’s a really exciting young footballer and his record in the development teams with Bournemouth is excellent.

“He’s somebody who can get goals and he’s a creative player, so I’m hoping for goals and assists from him.

“He’s jumped at the opportunity to come and have this chance to play first team football and I’m looking forward to seeing him working.

“He’s a good friend of Dan and I asked him about him when we were thinking about signing him. He gave him a glowing reference and from what we’ve seen of him, we think he’ll add something different to the group.

“It’s a challenge for him because it’s his first loan out, but Bournemouth think really highly of him, and once he settles in I’m sure he’ll be a really good addition to the squad.”
