A bridge will be replaced at a north Cumbrian wood.
Work on Blackhall Wood Way, near Durdar, Carlisle, will begin on Tuesday, August 26.
The existing structure, which links the wood from the C1014, will be replaced with a durable precast concrete culvert.
A temporary bridge will be installed downstream of the existing crossing to maintain access for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Access to the temporary bridge will be provided via the next door field, with signs in place to guide road users.
A full road closure will be in place while the work is carried out.
Once the temporary bridge is in place, the existing structure will be replaced.
The project is expected to take around seven weeks to complete. It is estimated work will finish by Monday October 13.
