
A man has been accused of using threatening and abusive words intending to stir up racial hatred.
Brandon Watson, 25, of Milbourne Street, Carlisle, was due to appear in court yesterday, Saturday May 2.
It follows an incident on English Street, Carlisle on Thursday, April 30, in the afternoon.
The offences also relate to incidents reported over the last two months.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Magistrates Court.
A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man from Carlisle were also arrested on Thursday on suspicion of using threatening abusive words with intent to stir up racial hatred.
They were released on bail.
