Biggest movers of the week in Maryport Pool League were the Sun Inn Ballers.
But they did it without lifting a cue as they were given a 7-0 win over Butchers A who couldn’t field a team.
As a consequence the Ballers moved from ninth in the table to fifth.
Leaders Sun Inn Sharks came from 2-0 down to win against Maryport Social after Andrew Egan and Ryan Ismay had won for the underdogs.
Paul Mostyn followed by Mel Scott levelled the match before Steve Wheatcroft and Jobby Dunn put the Sharks in front. Mostyn and Scott then clinched the 5-2 victory and they remain three points clear of Elbra B.
They had gone behind to Dearham’s Taylor Manchester but then turned on the style to win 6-1.
Graham Mattinson started the comeback with Greg Walling and Ian Frizzle making it 3-1 before all the doubles were secured.
Elbra A are just three points adrift of their in-house rivals as they beat Swan 5-2. John McCracken, Pat Walton, Tony Lambert and Andy Henderson were all in winning form.
Bowling Club dispatched Maryport Rugby League Club A 7-0. Paul Kirkbride, Anthony Brough, Dave Edwards and Jason Miller were in impressive form for the Bowlers.
Bottom side Glasson Rangers turned over Sun Inn Cannons 4-3, when Cam Stuart, Kieron Hughes and Keith Tweedie provided the singles wins. John Thompson was the sole single winner for the Cannons.
Thompson and Zane Alderson led the fight-back to make it 3-2 before Shaun and Mikey Allan (father and son) made it 3-3.
Stuart and Dean Petre, though, clinched victory for the Rangers. Maryport Rugby Club B travelled to Elbra C and came away with all the points after winning 5-2.
Kieron Scott, Tyler Beales and Jack Kemp were all on top of their games.
