Carlisle’s Oliver Spedding hit a career best 145 not out as the city side wrapped up a comfortable win in the Northern League’s Second Division.
The city side accumulated 318-7 in their 50 overs at Great Eccleston aftr deciding to bat first.
Spedding entered the action at 25-1 and scored at virtually a run a ball as he faced 142 deliveries, striking 22 fours and four sixes.
He dominated the Carlisle innings, with next best Alex Raybould on 31 and Kieran Grimshaw 30.

The hosts did not look like threatening the Carlisle total and were eventually bowled out for 208 after 46.2 overs.

Nico Watt took 4-73 and Brodie Glendinning had 3-40 to keep Carlisle second in the table, but still 21 points behind unbeaten leaders St Anne’s.
However, with two to be promoted to the First Division, they are very much on target.
